Covid 19 - Had you booked a musician for your now postponed wedding?
The situation people find themselves in due to Covid 19 is extremely stressful, both mentally and financially. People are unfortunately having to cancel or postpone their weddings leaving peoples dream days cancelled and suppliers out of pocket.
It's likely that any musicians you booked for your wedding will need to be contacted and have the news broken to them that they are no longer required.
The vast majority of musicians are willing to postpone the date and transfer any deposit paid to the new wedding date, many have had support from the governments income support scheme which will have replaced any loss of earnings.
What can your booked wedding musician can still do for you?
Darren Jones is willing to record the songs that would have been played at your wedding ceremony, it isn't the same as having it live while walking down the aisle, but none the less, a respectful nod, keepsake and reminder of the strange times we all find ourselves in all of a sudden. Garden parties and smaller gatherings may be allowed outdoors and some couples are choosing to hire their musician to perform at these events instead.
