Finally a local one for me! Although I don't mind the driving I do every weekend to get to various weddings and performances it is always a bonus if the gig is just down the road! I've know the bride Julia for a while, she is the cousin of our drummer Warren and also the Headteacher of the local high school! I was delighted when she asked if I could play for her at the wedding.
The Horse & Jockey is a fantastic venue that serves some of the best food around! Although it is a pub and not really a dedicated 'events wedding venue' it turns its hand to it brilliantly. Perfect for smaller intimate, no fuss weddings. The're often the best right?? http://www.horsejockey.co.uk/
I played two sets for guests from when guests arrived up until food being served, there we're a few familiar faces at this one and there was a really nice atmosphere.
